Technome is looking for cloud system engineers and administrators, to manage true big data systems and to use their skills to help answer some of the biggest questions in neurodegenerative disease research.
We team up with Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure architects from Verily and Microsoft, to build and manage scalable platforms to host research data. We’re working with world-class scientists to develop sophisticated data processing pipelines, using workflow definition languages based on BASH, Python, and other classic scripting languages.
To work at Technome, you don’t need to begin with an in-depth knowledge of genomics data or neurodegenerative disease research. We can teach you that. You just need to have solid engineering skills and a desire to work on cutting-edge tools and technologies.

As a software engineer at Technome, you’ll be working with cloud-native technologies in Google Cloud and Azure to build and enhance applications and microservices. Technome works directly with technologists from Google and Microsoft, with access to the latest, sometimes pre-beta cloud offerings. WIth Technome, you’ll have an opportunity to learn while you solve a wide array of diverse engineering challenges and gain experience working with containers, SaaS components, serverless code, and the fundamentals of cloud computing with truly big data.

Technome is looking for research data analysts who are passionate about making big data manageable and accessible for even novice data users. We are at the forefront of the big data movement in science, and have access to, manage and process many ‘omics data types. Help us make big data usable by the research community!
You will be working with various types of -omics data, including proteomics and transcriptomics. You will be in charge of data validation, curation, QC, cleanup, and release. In addition, you would work with our team to generate resources for data users, including, but not limited to, R/python-based user workspaces and analysis notebooks.
To work at Technome as a Research Data Analyst, you need in-depth knowledge of one-omics data type and a basic understanding of R or Python. You need to be able to work as part of a team and have the desire and ability to learn about other -omics types and expand on existing coding skills.
